The word Exodus is mainly associated with the story Exodus from Egypt  The journey in which our people embarked on an adventure into the unknown that lasted forty years, transforming them from a nation of slaves into a nation of free people.
Along the way, he crossed the Red Sea and endured many tests until he reached the Promised Land.

I feel that the race, by its very nature, is very reminiscent of the story of the Exodus from Egypt. The person who starts it and the person who finishes it will be two different people.
