The Boat
Baba 35 1980
Exodus is a Baba 35, built in 1980. She is not a young yacht, but a proven offshore design with decades of experience at sea behind her.
The Baba 35 was not built for coastal cruising, but for ocean passages and long-distance sailing. Her design prioritizes stability, safety and endurance over speed, making her exceptionally well suited for demanding offshore conditions.
Designed by the renowned naval architect Robert Perry, she featurs a classic offshore configuration: a long full keel, traditional double-ended stern and high build quality with extensive use of wood.
Exodus is a boat that was made to go far, face whatever the ocean delivers, and keep us moving forward through it.
Why Exodus?
The word Exodus is closely tied to the biblical story of the Israelites leaving Egypt. A journey into the unknown that lasted forty years and transformed my nation from slavery into freedom.
Along the way, they crossed the Red Sea and faced countless trials before reaching the Promised Land.
To me, this race strongly reflects that same journey. The person who starts it and the person who finishes it will not be the same.
Carrying this name on the boat gives me strength and a deep sense of mission, as if the entire people of Israel are standing behind me, pushing me forward.
